1. Decide on a process review
Process review is not a requirement of the ISO 9001 standard, as it is a specific means of meeting the requirement to monitor, evaluate, measure and improve processes. ISO 9001, like other management system standards, avoids associating means with the objective requirements it sets.
In the context of quality management systems, process reviews offer benefits at several levels: activity and performance management, stakeholder involvement, sharing and exchanges between departments.
In this way, they enable each process manager to involve his or her teams in the analysis of how the process works, and in the improvement process.
Process reviews are generally also a good opportunity to exchange views with customers and internal suppliers of the process concerned, representing both upstream and downstream processes....
