2. Outline process architecture
The choices made when identifying processes often result in an overall diagram (sometimes called a "process map") reflecting the architecture adopted. This shows the processes and their tree structure, as well as their interactions.
The tree structure designates the decomposition of processes into macroprocesses (level 1), processes (level 2) and sub-processes (levels 3 and higher, if required).
