4. Communicate audit results

The audit is an ideal opportunity to verify :

  • compliance of the management system with ISO 9001 or 14001 requirements and with legal and regulatory requirements;

  • the effectiveness of the management system.

Auditees are involved during the audit. It is important that you give them feedback, by communicating on :

  • The purpose of the audit is to provide a "snapshot" of the organization, by an auditor or auditors who are independent of the activities audited, to feed into the management system improvement process;
