The standard registration procedure lasts five months from receipt of the complete and regular dossier by the operator; it can be extended by two months by means of a reasoned order. Even when extended, the registration procedure is considerably shorter than the authorization procedure, which lasts more than a year on average.
In the absence of a decision from the administration within five months of the date of admissibility of the application, registration is tacitly or implicitly refused.
