INTRODUCTION
Since 2010, several headings in the nomenclature of classified installations have been modified to introduce the new administrative regime of registration (E). Activities that were initially subject to authorization (and more rarely to declaration) are now subject to registration.
What are the advantages of registration?
There are currently eleven headings in the nomenclature that classify facilities for registration. These include service stations (1435), warehouses (1510), cold stores (1511), depots for paper, cardboard or similar combustible materials (1530), polymer storage facilities (2662), tire storage facilities (2663), explosives depots (1311), non-hazardous waste methanization facilities (2781), combustion plants (2910), distilleries (2250) and laundries (2340).
Eventually, this new system will affect a quarter of all facilities currently subject to authorization. It offers several advantages for the operator of a facility subject to registration.
