3. Traditional method: formalize the project organization chart

The project organization chart is the counterpart to an organization's hierarchical and functional organization chart. This tool enables all project contributors to quickly identify the project's organization, by answering the following questions:

  • Which person is in charge of which team?

  • Who does this person answer to in the hierarchy?

  • Who's interacting functionally?

Naturally, the project organization chart is by name, so that each contributor can position himself in relation to the others.
