INTRODUCTION
Contract management is the process that enables all parties involved to comply with their contractual obligations and preserve their rights to achieve all objectives. In other words, the contract is virtually a relationship management tool for all parties concerned. A thorough knowledge of contracts is required to achieve this.
This sheet will describe the process from the tendering phase through to contract signature. It will give the best practices to be implemented and necessary for the processes concerned.
It also introduces contract management, which paves the way for professional management between customer/buyer and contractor/seller. It must be a continuous process, throughout the life cycle of the offer and the contract, to anticipate all needs and deal with all cases that arise during the project.
