7. Award decision

The executive of the public purchaser (mayor, president of the general council, president of the regional council, director or president of the public institution) may only sign the contract if authorized to do so by the deliberative body (municipal council, general council, regional council, board of directors).

This decision may be taken before or after the launch of the consultation procedure.

  • The executive signs the contract by virtue of a decision taken by the governing body prior to the launch of the consultation procedure, giving him general authority for the duration of his term of office.
