 INTRODUCTION

The need to reduce our impact on the environment requires companies to implement sustainable packaging innovation initiatives. This document sets out how this approach can be structured.

Proposing real packaging innovations can be difficult for companies due to various constraints: cost containment, lack of technical knowledge, low flexibility of packaging stations, etc. The approach outlined here aims to clarify the actual issues involved in general, then in the specific context of the company, and the progressiveness of the means that can be deployed to increase the sustainability of the packaging system.
