5.1 Don't wait to make decisions
If, within the first few days or weeks, you notice that despite all the precautions you've taken, the person you've recruited isn't living up to the promises you've made, then don't wait, don't be stubborn and make a change quickly. Of course, you'll feel like a failure, but persisting may prove even more destructive for you, for the exploratory adventure, but above all for the person in question, who will take this new experience very badly.
