7. Our advice

7.1 Design your deck as a user journey

Think of your pitch deck as a guided tour. Each slide is a step, a corridor, a door to be crossed. Your role is to move your audience forward without losing them: capture them, orientate them, reassure them, and lead them to action. To do this, keep the progression logic clear, fluid and coherent with your oral message. Use visual tools to support, not overload. Also consider creating a stand-alone version of your pitch.
