7. Draft your patent application thoroughly

Drafting a patent is a major step, not only from a technical point of view, but also from a legal one.

Generally speaking, it is the patent claims that determine the scope of protection. They must be complete for a person skilled in the art to be able to execute it. They must also be clear and concise, and be based on the description. The descriptions and drawings are used to interpret them.

In view of these requirements, even if you have mastered the technical aspects of your invention, it is strongly recommended that you seek the assistance of a specialist who will be able to adapt the drafting of your patent application:
