3. Carry out the assessment
This stage involves defining the panel to be solicited and having it evaluate the selected product stimuli, so as to be able to characterize them according to semantic, sensory and emotional dimensions. Visual or multi-sensory product stimuli are evaluated via the questionnaire. The number of stimuli produced often varies from 10 to 20. If it exceeds this range, the questionnaire can be split into several parts.
3.1 The panel
The panel is made up of people who may or may not be experts on the subject, depending on the context. The evaluation questionnaires are completed by participants from a panel of at least 30 to 40 people.
