5.1 Cultivate a minimum of independence
When the intrapreneur and his team take off, there will be a strong tendency to bring them back into the "norm". They will have gone through an initial exploratory phase relatively sheltered from the rest of the company. And even though they will have been very careful to maintain good relations with their employer, the latter, for what he believes to be excellent reasons, will try to bring them back into the heart of their system to better help them... or control them. But you have to find the right orbit! Too close to the heart of the company and you'll crash from suffocation. Too far away and you're in a black hole, forever detached... including from funding.
