3. Analyze observation results
Once the observation protocols have been implemented and the data collected, the hard work of analyzing the results awaits you. We won't go into the methods of analysis here, which can be extremely diverse, from the most qualitative to the most quantitative, depending on the type of observation carried out.
However, the aim of these analyses will be to uncover the problems, pains and malfunctions associated with the usage situations observed. Are existing products satisfactory? If no existing products are used, are existing practices satisfactory? Can new needs be identified and quantified?
Have the protocols developed and the observations made been satisfactory? Do the initial results make it possible to launch new, more targeted or better-structured observations?
