2. Start an exploration
The launch of a new exploration requires the board's approval, as it will use part of the budget earmarked for this exploratory work. It is therefore important to prepare a sales pitch to convince the board of the benefits of launching this expedition.
It would be very useful to define a list of criteria in advance, so as to provide a better framework for exploration with the board.
For example, the following criteria may be taken into account:
Is there a customer problem?
Does this exploration fit in with the organization's development strategy?
Is it reasonable to believe that the organization possesses a skill, a know-how that can make the difference in the marketplace?...
