INTRODUCTION
One of the first things to do when setting up an intrapreneurship program within an organization is to set up appropriate governance.
The purpose of this governance will be to direct the program and ensure that the directions taken to ensure the development of exploration in intrapreneurial mode will be in line with the organization's strategy. This includes
definition and application of criteria for deciding which exploratory topics to cover;
the definition of acceptable annual losses, which in turn define the budget allocated to the structure;
validation of explorations, and in particular the allocation of the budget share to each exploration;
the appointment and/or validation of internal sponsors for each exploration ;
consistency between the subjects explored and the company's strategy.
This fact sheet describes the important points to consider, both in the construction of this governance and in the interactions that are most important for it to function effectively.
