4.1 Improvement
It's a concept that has also become a principle of quality management. ISO 9000 states that "the success of an organization is based on a constant desire for improvement".
Continuous improvement, "recurring activity carried out to improve performance", completes this definition.
A particularity of the concept is that the word "improvement" as an objective and purpose is used in virtually every chapter of ISO 9001, and is the title of chapter 10.
