The following description of the energy diagnostic process is a summary of the main steps involved.
5.1 Preliminary stage
Before embarking on an energy audit, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with its content, what you can and should expect from it, the obligations of each party (who does what between the – service provider (whether internal or external – ) and the client/company), the availability of data and the resources required to achieve the objective.
The objective and scope of the energy audit must be defined as early as possible, in consultation between the consultant and the company, and in as much detail as possible.
