2. Names and definitions

A company's energy analysis can take on different names, and these are not insignificant as they correspond to different criteria and commitments, more or less in-depth depending on the instigators of these names.

Diagnosis and energy audit can be likened to each other. However, both terms are linked to specific document references. The former has its origins in ADEME specifications, while the latter is explicitly the name of the regulatory obligation to which European standard NF EN 16247 is attached.
