Process approach
Consistent, predictable results are achieved more effectively and efficiently when activities are understood and managed as interrelated processes operating as a coherent system (source: ISO 9000).
Process
A set of interrelated or interacting activities that uses inputs to produce an expected result (source: ISO 9000).
Note 1: the designation of the "expected result" of a process by output element, product or service depends on the context of the reference.
Note 2: the input elements of one process are generally the output elements of other processes, and the output elements of one process are generally the input elements of other processes.
