3. Choose a process definition logic

Broadly speaking, you can choose between two approaches to defining realization processes, also known as "business processes":

  • the functional approach ;

  • the end-to-end approach, defined by product or customer segments.

3.1 Functional approach

This involves identifying and grouping activities according to their functions. Using this approach, which corresponds to the classic approach, we can define the following realization processes, for example:

  • selling (grouping together all the activities involved in selling the company's products and services) ;

  • planning (grouping of planning activities...
