2. Structuring and clarifying change objectives

The objectives of a change must include elements that describe the content of the change, outline the implementation process and give meaning to the approach.

  • Content: describe what you want to do, the situation you want to reach, what will change and what won't, the main obstacles and difficulties already identified that need to be overcome, foreseeable impacts, etc.

  • Process: describe how the change is to be implemented and supported, the resources to be deployed, the people involved, the decision-making procedures and criteria, a first draft of the timetable, any impacts and the solutions for dealing with them.

  • Meaning: explain and argue, why change and why do it now, how what is described in the content is more appropriate to meet this need for change. Specify what everyone...
