4. Examine different ways of dividing up the project

There are several ways of structuring a project and dividing it into different parts, work packages...

• WHAT to do: break down the product into sub-assemblies, a document known as the product breakdown structure (PBS);

• the HOW to do the what: breakdown into elementary tasks, a document known as the work breakdown structure (WBS);

• the WITH what resources: a breakdown of the resources used, a document known as the resource breakdown structure (RBS);

• WHO is responsible: organization breakdown structure (OBS).

It is now necessary to examine in greater detail the objectives of each possible form of project division.
