3.1 Set up defense strategies against negative conclusions
The project manager then invites the team to examine the effects of complaint, denial and resignation. He uses a technique which treats the complaint, for example, as a character who intervenes in the team's life. As a result, team members see themselves interacting with the complaint. This is the first condition for defending against the "Complaint" character:
what does the complaint make you do?
how does denial prevent you from finding solutions?
when did resignation get the better of your motivation?
By examining the effects these "characters" have on the team, members realize...
