1.1 Check whether you are in a situation suited to the narrative practices approach

Narrative practice questions are not directly related to the project. Instead, they call on people's ability to develop their own view of past events. It is this view that will determine the conclusions team members draw when it comes to assessing their performance. This assessment, often negative, risks blocking the ability to return to performance.

This is where the narrative practices approach comes into its own. The project manager's objective is to enable the team to stand up to negative assessments and develop a more differentiated view of its performance.
