INTRODUCTION
Your thermoplastics welding activity requires the know-how of qualified machine operators or welders. Your field of activity focuses on the production of structures, objects or semi-products requiring guaranteed quality and mechanical resistance of welds. You want to ensure the long-term viability of your process. You are not necessarily subject to regulations or standards in your field of application. So qualify your welders to NF EN 13067, just as you would a metal welder.
From July 1 2014, manufacturers of metal and aluminum structures will be subject to the new EN 1090 standard, and will be legally obliged to affix a CE mark. Welders will be required to be qualified, and their activities will be monitored on an ongoing basis. But what about the plastics industry?
