3. Ensures consistency of methods within the company
As described above, most of the time, issues are raised by projects which find themselves confronted with emerging difficulties in the organization, not described in the methodological corpus established by the Project Management Office. When the methods laid down by the PMO Method are incomplete or non-existent and do not enable a difficulty to be dealt with, the project has two options:
turn to the Project Management Office to discuss the best way of managing the problem in accordance with project management rules and best practices;
embark on an "improvised" resolution of the problem, directly implemented by the project players.
