4. Methodological verification of documents produced by PMOs within projects

The PMO Method also has the role of methodological verifier for certain documents. The – management plan, which describes how the project will be organized in terms of project management, as well as the adjustments made to the method and tools to adapt to the specific features of the – project, is in principle checked by the PMO Method. From a methodological point of view, he may also have to check the reporting, the risk summary or the schedule justification note. Two points are worth noting:

  • if the PMO Method verifies the document from a methodological point of view, the figures are verified by one or more players within the project itself;

  • in an organization with a large Project Management Office, there are several Method PMOs specializing in the different areas of project management; for example, the...
