1. Identify the uses of collaborative platforms
Over the past ten years or so, we have witnessed a phenomenon of individuals appropriating web tools and applying them collaboratively for their own uses. This paradigm shift is commonly referred to as "Web 2.0". This name embodies all participative, collaborative and interactive communication uses.
Collaborative platforms have many uses. They make it possible to co-construct content, keep track of employees' activities (who's doing what?) and skills, and conduct collaborative learning, all with ease. They are a natural evolution of the digital office, whether employees are on the move or not. It enables management of human interfaces (employees, communities, ecosystems), between tools (computers, tablets, smartphones) and platforms (EDM, CRM, other collaborative platforms, business tools, etc.).
