4. Amend

Amending means modifying to make improvements. This is exactly what you need to do at this stage. It's a good idea to rely on your suppliers for this step (see Innovating with your suppliers: how can you mobilize them to share more value? [FIC 0253] ).

You'll be looking to introduce minor modifications, bringing in new standard and tried-and-tested functions.
