5. Evaluating proposals

As part of this process, it's essential to meet with candidates at least once (preferably after initial screening), for example at needs presentation meetings (presentation of the expression of need and collection of questions/reactions/proposals from the consultant during the meeting) or more formally at presentation sessions (presentation of the proposal by the consultant and questions/answers). These exchanges will enable you to better appreciate the relevance and technical depth of the proposal, while helping you to project yourself into a working relationship with the consultant to validate the "human" fit (finely tuned understanding of your expectations, suitability in terms of relationships and managerial values, etc.).
