3. Building an effective training management system

Sending staff on training courses is a response to the organization's need to evolve. A factual and measurable development objective is defined beforehand (see figure "Effective training loop").

For example:

  • reduce the rate of product non-conformities ;

  • implement a new process...

One of the possible ways of achieving this development objective is through training (internal or external). Once the skills have been acquired and assessed, it must also be possible to measure their implementation in the field, in order to determine whether the training has had a positive impact on the achievement of the development objective.
