19. Plastic materials

19.1 Field of application

This applies to plastic materials and articles made exclusively of plastic or composed of two or more layers, each of which is made exclusively of plastic and which, in their finished state, are intended to come into direct contact with food products.

This does not apply to materials and articles which, under normal conditions of use or other reasonably foreseeable conditions, are not intended to come into contact with food products, for example :

• floor, ceiling and wall coverings ;

• car dashboard ;

• apron ;

• tablecloth ;

• meal tray.
