Specify the scope of the approach, including :
the product concerned and its scope of application ;
what can or must be handled by the VA, and what you can or must take into account in the VA ;
any regulatory constraints, standards, etc. concerning the product;
the project framework (deadline, budget, etc.).
Get to know the project context with :
existing products (strengths and/or weaknesses, competition, dissatisfaction or complaints) ;
the issues motivating the project (e.g. defending market share, improving margins, etc.);
objectives and/or expected results.
