1.1 What is value?
Insofar as it is expectations or motivations that justify the resources (including financial) and efforts required, NF EN 1325 defines the value of a product as "the relationship between the function's contribution to satisfying the need and the function's cost".
Thus formulated, value appears as a ratio:
