3. Forming a group
VA is a team effort that requires a multidisciplinary group with knowledge of the product, and in particular :
its market, its customers and their needs, its competitors ;
the technologies envisaged to achieve it ;
how it will be installed, commissioned, maintained and serviced;
how it will be used;
the environment in which it will be used.
Designate a facilitator, but don't let him or her be the applicant or the project manager. Choose someone who :
knows the VA method;
knows how to lead a group;
is neutral and benevolent.
