2.1 The activities
Appoint a sponsor who is concerned about the importance of solving the problem, and who is responsible for obtaining resources.
Appoint an 8D leader who has mastered the 8D method and who will be responsible for the team's effectiveness (if necessary, use a coach to support the leader).
Appoint a representative to represent the customer's interests.
Create a multi-disciplinary "8D" team (for example, in the case of a complaint about a defective product, purchasing, methods, design, quality, maintenance, production, etc. may all be involved).
Define operating rules (frequency of meetings, decision-making...
