8.1 Don't forget to assess managerial skills
There's a widespread misconception that it's difficult, if not impossible, to measure managerial competence: management is closer to an art form, focusing more on behavior and interpersonal skills, and therefore more closely linked to each individual's own charisma.
All these comments are right. However, it's neither reasonable nor appropriate to give up on any measures for this reason. In fact, in a supervisory role, management in general is the major task, so assessing this skill is essential if you are to succeed in this type of responsibility.
