6. Control project scope

Scope control is the process of monitoring and controlling the status of the project, its products and the management of its changes (and modifications) in relation to the reference scope.

Perimeter control ensures that all change requests, recommendations for corrective action and preventive action are properly processed and acted upon.

Among the main benefits of project scope control, measuring project performance in relation to expected added value, and calculating variances between planned and actual performance, will enable decisions to be made regarding project continuity.
