3. Define the scope of the project

The scope of work (SOW) documents all the characteristics and limits of the project, as well as its products and services. It is accompanied by quality and scope control methods to ensure the satisfaction of the expected products.

The definition of the project perimeter includes the following elements:

• definition of product/project objectives ;

• product/service requirements ;

• product acceptance criteria ;

• project limits (what is included in the project and what is excluded) ;

• project requirements and deliverables;

• project constraints ;
