The aim of this step is to formulate your system's main problem.
Recommended duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour.
After defining the framework of the problem, MID proposes to evaluate the system using a five-axis diagram to identify and prioritize the conditions that make the current system less than ideal and sustainable. These five axes correspond to five major problems:
the system consumes natural resources (water, energy, materials);
the system generates waste and/or pollution;
the system does not contribute to local dynamism;
the system is not perceived as sustainable;
the system does not correspond to actual usage.
