What's the difference between ASIT and TRIZ?
The TRIZ method is a set of tools created and developed by Altshuller to enable the emergence of solution concepts in response to problems. These analyses enabled him to observe that an invention in one field is often the transposition of an existing solution in another field. TRIZ consists of a set of tools, including the contradiction matrix, which generates generic innovative principles from contradictions (parameters); evolution laws, which model the evolution of technical systems; the ideality principle, a theoretical concept that enables functions to be fulfilled without complicating the system; and the separation principle (separation in space, separation by changing conditions, separation in time, separation by moving to a subsystem or super-system).
