The aim of this stage is to define and delimit the boundaries of the system under study.
Recommended duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The eco-innovation approach requires us to position the problem at high systemic levels. To do this, it requires a clear definition of the system under study, its context of use, and the boundaries of the study.
To this end, the "9 screens" tool is relevant to this positioning.
