After carrying out an energy diagnostic, the company will know its energy situation and the actions to be taken to improve it and achieve a certain energy performance. These actions will have been quantified in terms of potential energy savings and financial commitment. The company will then be able to set one or more quantified targets for achieving this performance, and draw up a quantified energy-saving action plan over one or more years, depending on the company's financial capabilities and other constraints (table 6 ).
