5. Structure the improvement process at system level

For the improvement process at the level of the overall quality management system, the natural means is the management review (see Conducting a management review [FIC 0456] ), which is a requirement of the ISO 9001 standard.

As with the other areas for improvement, you will need to define the frequency of management reviews. The most common frequency is half-yearly, when the quality approach is recent or there have been major changes in the quality management system, or annual, in a stable, mature situation.
