 INTRODUCTION

Quality management is based on seven principles ( cf. Quality management principles, the foundation of the quality approach [FIC 0406] ). The management review is at the crossroads of these principles. It is an opportunity for management to assert its leadership and reinforce its customer focus, while taking into account the expectations of the company's stakeholders. By analyzing the results obtained by the various processes, management can make evidence-based decisions and identify and make available the resources needed to implement the management system improvement actions it has defined, thus contributing to staff involvement.

The management review is therefore a key moment in the life of a management system, whether it is dedicated to quality, the environment, occupational health and safety, energy, or integrates two or more of these dimensions. But how do you conduct a value-added management review? It's important not to skip any steps:

  • define objectives and participants ;

  • plan the management review ;

  • identify input and output elements ;

  • prepare the management review ;

  • lead the management review ;

  • implement actions and decisions resulting from the management review.
