8. Mistakes to avoid

  • Don't assume that all your colleagues attach the same importance to action plans as you do. Written action planning is not always a natural practice, even less so when it's a collective action plan. Everyone has their own habits and practices for managing priorities and deadlines.

  • Don't leave an action plan in its initial version, without updating it. Action plans are only as useful as their follow-up.

  • Don't be discouraged if actions are postponed from week to week, month to month, or even year to year. If the action makes sense for the company, we'll be grateful for your perseverance, and we'll even accept a little insistence on your part!
