4. Our advice

  • For any project, always assume a priori that a change management approach and structure are necessary. Carry out a stakeholder impact assessment and, only after analysis, do nothing specific if the impact on all potential stakeholders is deemed minimal.

  • Don't forget to involve employee representatives (staff delegates, works council, joint committee or union representatives). On the one hand, if the change resulting from the project modifies the organization and working conditions, their information-consultation is an unavoidable legal obligation. On the other hand, they are the key contacts for employees: the way they present the project is part of the communication on the project and its objectives.
