4. Define schedules
Timetabling is an essential part of project planning, to take account of available time.
The first calendar to be defined is the "standard" calendar, the one to be used by default. It can, for example, cover time slots from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for all working days of the week. It represents a typical team day.
In addition to this standard calendar, special calendars can be defined.
For example, in the case of nuclear facilities, the time required for employees to change clothes and pass through the various inspection stages cannot be considered as time worked. In this case, on the basis of the standard schedule, we need to define a schedule that we'll call "on-site" and which will cover the time slots from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for all working days of the week, in order...
